Hi, I’m Clare, the handylady behind Clare Repairs! I started this business to offer a reliable, approachable, and professional home repair service designed with women in mind—but open to everyone who needs a helping hand. Whether it’s painting a room, fixing a broken gate, or assembling furniture, I take pride in making homes safe, functional, and comfortable.

With hands-on experience in carpentry, bricklaying, tiling, plastering, electrics, and general DIY, I’ve trained in multiple trades to deliver high-quality work with a friendly, down-to-earth approach. I’m currently expanding my skills with a City & Guilds in Carpentry, and I also volunteer as a building assistant at a local charity, helping maintain and improve community spaces.

Before starting Clare Repairs, I worked in mental health and disability rights, so I understand how important it is to feel comfortable in your own home. I aim to provide a service that’s trustworthy, inclusive, and tailored to your needs—whether that means taking extra care with accessibility, explaining things clearly, or just being a friendly face you can rely on.
